A reimagined Craz-E Burger, crepes, raw oysters and more are coming to The Big E in September.
The Big E in West Springfield is the largest fair in New England. It lasts from Sept. 13-Sept. 29 and will likely have more than a million attendees over the 17 days.
The fair is known for its unique food options, including a variety of pickle themed foods.
One of the big changes is that BLC Ventures LLC, which operates The Big E Bakery, has completely overhauled all of the permanent food vendor locations in the Better Living Center building, including the two former Glass House restaurants.
“Our goal is to transform the Better Living Center into a food destination,” EJ Dean, owner of BLC Ventures LLC, said in a press release. “We have created a unique, one-of-a-kind experience at every location with a little bit of something for everyone.”
In the building, there will be The Emporium, which will be the home of the reimagined Craz-E Burger. It will be made with an Angus beef “smash burger” topped with cheese, bacon and onion rings and placed between two full, fresh glazed donuts, according to a press release.
Other foods in the building will include mini donuts, sweet and savory crepes, margaritas served with cotton candy on top and wine flights.
See below for a list of some of the new foods coming to the fair this year.
